I’m Joshua Guest. I spent the last few years on the adjusting side, working claims across 18 states. Direct Estimating is a team of three: I write and review from Utah, alongside an estimator in Michigan with ten years in restoration and insurance work and an estimator in Alabama with ten years on the Gulf Coast. Combined, that is more than 25 years in the field writing scope, reviewing carrier files, and getting estimates approved.

Every estimate is written by one of us and reviewed by another before it goes out. Nothing is farmed out. You get a US-based team that has seen what gets approved fast and what gets kicked back, and writes the file accordingly: full scope captured, proper documentation, accurate line items.

The result is fewer disputes, faster approvals, and less back-and-forth on your end.

For contractors and firms in our service regions, we offer in-person inspections. We show up, document the loss, collect measurements and photos, then write the full Xactimate estimate back at our desk.

Same quality, same team — we just come to the property so you don’t have to send us photos and a sketch. One price covers the whole thing: 2% of the estimate total, $250 minimum, inspection included. No trip fee inside our service regions.
