Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want every client to have a clear understanding of what to expect when purchasing services from Direct Estimating, LLC. Below is our policy for each service type.

1. In-House Estimating Services

Flat-Fee Estimates (Xactimate writing, sketches, Matterport conversions, water mitigation scopes)

If you believe there is a material issue with a delivered estimate, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will work with you to correct any errors or address quality concerns at no additional cost. If we are unable to resolve the issue to your reasonable satisfaction, we will issue a full or partial refund at our discretion based on the circumstances.

Refunds are not available for:

• Estimates that are accurate and complete but are denied or reduced by an insurance carrier — carrier approval is outside our control.
• Issues arising from incomplete, inaccurate, or missing information provided by the client (photos, measurements, loss details).
• Requests made more than 48 hours after delivery, unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Supplement Services (Flat Fee)

Supplement services are provided on a flat-fee basis and charged at intake before work begins. One revision is included if the carrier pushes back on the initial submission. Because the work product (the written supplement) is delivered regardless of carrier outcome, refunds are not available once the supplement has been delivered. If you believe there is a material issue with the supplement we wrote, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will work with you to address it.

QC Review

Quality control review is a professional opinion on an existing estimate. Because the value is in the analysis and feedback provided, refunds are not available after delivery. If you believe the review was materially deficient, contact us within 48 hours and we will address your concerns.

2. How to Request a Refund or Cancel

For all refund requests, cancellations, or billing questions, contact us at:

Please include your name, the service purchased, the date of purchase, and a description of the issue. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

3. Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account and access to our services while the dispute is investigated.
