When to use it
You need a roof sketch for an estimate and don’t want to spend time drawing it yourself. You’re a contractor or adjuster who needs a clean ESX to import, or a PA who needs the sketch before the inspection. This is the fastest, cheapest way to get a roof sketch into your Xactimate file.
Accuracy & limitations
Satellite sketches are based on aerial imagery and are suitable for most residential roofs. For complex commercial roofs, multi-structure properties, or situations where you need ground-truthed measurements, consider an on-site inspection — available in Utah, southwest Michigan, and coastal Alabama. If the satellite imagery is unclear or outdated for a particular address, we’ll let you know and refund or offer an alternative.
